Create and Manage Inbound Phone & Chat Campaigns

An inbound phone campaign receives calls on a phone number and handles them with your voice agent. This guide walks through creating the campaign, configuring its settings and forwarding webhook, and then tracking leads, call logs, chats, and analytics before assigning it to a client. It follows the interactive walkthrough step by step, so you can click through the demo and read along here.

🖱️ Open the interactive walkthrough - Click through a step-by-step, interactive demo of creating and managing an inbound phone campaign.

What you'll learn: creating an inbound phone campaign · configuring settings and forwarding call data by webhook · how caller info shows up as leads · where to view call logs, transcripts, recordings, and chats · assigning the campaign to a client.

Step 1: Create the campaign.

  1. Click Campaigns to view all active and draft campaigns.

  2. Click Add Campaign to create a new campaign.

  3. Select Inbound Phone to receive calls on a phone number.

Step 2: Open and configure the campaign. After creating it, click the inbound campaign to open its configuration and metrics, then click the Settings tab to configure campaign parameters and schedule. Two things you can set up here:

  • Forwarding webhook. All call data can be forwarded using the forwarding webhook, so results flow into your own tools.

  • Inbound web widget. You can create an inbound web widget here to accept contacts from a website.

Managing the campaign:

  • Overview: view campaign performance metrics and statistics.

  • Leads: inbound caller information shows up here. You can populate fields like email and phone number if you enable structured data in your provider agent settings.

  • Logs: view call logs, transcripts, and recordings; detailed chat logs have their own logs view.

  • Analytics: displays campaign analytics over time.

Assign the campaign to a client. Click the Assign to client button to link the campaign to a client account. The client portal then shows campaign analytics, call logs, and more, based on the permissions you set for that client.
