How Campaign Cleanup Works

Campaigns that sit unused for a long time are marked for cleanup and, after a 30-day grace period with email warnings and a postpone option, deleted. A campaign is only deleted after roughly 60 or more days of total silence, and a single touch at any point saves it. This guide explains exactly when a campaign is marked, how to rescue it, and what gets removed.

In one line: a campaign is deleted only after about 60+ days of no activity, and any single action (an edit, a lead, a call, or a chat) cancels the countdown.

The three stages

1. Marked for cleanup. A daily scan finds campaigns with no activity for 30 to 45 days and marks them. Deletion is scheduled 30 days later, and everyone in the workspace gets an email on the day it is marked.

2. Auto-rescue. Every hour, marked campaigns are re-checked. Any activity removes the mark automatically. Just using the campaign saves it.

3. Deletion. Every 6 hours, campaigns past their deletion date are deleted, unless they had activity that same day, in which case they are rescued instead.

What counts as activity

Activity is the most recent of any of these:

  • Editing the campaign

  • Adding a lead

  • A call

  • A chat

Just viewing a campaign does not count.

When is a campaign marked?

Status

Marked after

Note

Draft

30 days

Untouched drafts are assumed abandoned.

Scheduled

30 days

Only if its start date has already passed. Future-dated campaigns are never marked.

Active

30 or 45 days

30 days if it has no leads, 45 days if it has leads.

Paused

30 or 45 days

Same rule: 30 days without leads, 45 days with leads.

Ended

30 days

Applies whether or not it has leads.

Being marked changes nothing about how the campaign runs. It only starts a countdown. Marked campaigns appear in the app with their deletion date and a Keep button.

The full timeline: you get months, not days

A campaign is marked only after 30 days of no activity (45 days if it is an active or paused campaign with leads). Marking then starts a 30-day grace period, and you can snooze the deletion twice with the Keep button, adding 30 days each time.

So, all in:

  • If you do nothing, a campaign gets 60 to 75 days from its last activity.

  • If you use both Keeps, that extends to 120 to 135 days (about 4 months).

  • If you still want the campaign after that, just open it and touch it. Any activity resets everything.

Three ways to save a marked campaign

  • Use it (automatic). Any edit, new lead, call, or chat removes the mark within the hour.

  • Click Keep (snooze). Postpones deletion by 30 days. Allowed a maximum of 2 times per campaign.

  • Last-day safety net. Activity on the deletion day itself cancels the deletion automatically.

The Keep button (snooze)

  • Each click pushes the deletion date out by 30 days.

  • Maximum of 2 Keeps per campaign. After that, only real activity can save it.

  • Keep is only clickable when the deletion date is within 30 days, so it locks right after use and re-enables as the new date gets close.

  • Keep only postpones deletion. The campaign stays in the marked-for-cleanup list until it has real activity.

Worst case with both Keeps: deletion happens about 90 days after being marked, which is roughly 4 or more months after the last activity.

What gets deleted

Gone permanently: the campaign, all of its leads, call logs, and chat logs.

Left untouched: your agents, phone numbers, other campaigns, and workspace settings. A small record of the deletion (name, date, and reason) is kept.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export anything you need during the grace period, or click Keep to postpone.

Quick examples

Scenario

What happens

Draft created, never touched

Marked at day 30, deleted around day 60.

Scheduled campaign, start date passed, never ran

Marked 30 days after last activity. Editing it later removes the mark within the hour.

Active campaign with leads, calls stopped

Marked after 45 quiet days. One returning call rescues it automatically.

Paused for the season

Marked after 45 days (it has leads). Click Keep (up to twice) to buy 30 days each, then resume when ready.

Both Keeps used, still silent

Deleted on the final date. Only real activity could save it now.

Frequently asked questions

Will marking a campaign stop it from running?

No. Marking only starts a countdown. The campaign runs exactly as before until it is either rescued or deleted.

How will I know a campaign is marked?

Everyone in the workspace gets an email on the day it is marked, and the campaign shows its deletion date and a Keep button in the app.

Can I get a deleted campaign back?

No. Deletion is permanent. Export your leads and logs during the grace period, or use Keep to postpone while you decide.

Do my agents and phone numbers get deleted too?

No. Cleanup only removes the campaign itself and its leads, call logs, and chat logs. Your agents, phone numbers, other campaigns, and workspace settings are untouched.
